As August comes to a close and the end of summer approaches,
I would like to share some photographs of my family enjoying an August day at
the beach in 1940. 
These photos depict my grandparents, my
father and my aunt, along with my grandmother’s sisters and their families most
likely at a beach in Rhode Island.
